There are several ride and race options across the state this weekend. Mid-Missouri will host the Show-Me State Games Road Race on Saturday, the 20th, just outside of Columbia, Missouri. This event offers two race distance options and age-group categories.

Those on the STL side of the state have a couple of options nearby this weekend. Uber Asphalt is an obstacle hunt around the city of St. Louis. Various checkpoints are set up throughout the city, and riders, in teams of two, will choose their own course through town to reach each checkpoint. Each checkpoint hosts a different obstacle that teams must navigate and complete. There is one additional obstacle to a bonus pizza prize. There is a 3-hour time limit to complete this event. The team that completes all obstacles in the shortest time wins.

The Great Egyptian Omnium will take place just across the IL state line. This is part of the MOBAR series. On Saturday and Sunday, July 20th and 21st, participants will compete in a time trial, road race, and criterium for a chance for the win in the overall omnium.

Riders on the KC side of the state will be participating in the State Line Road Race. This race consists of varying loops with a very tough climb going into the finish on each lap. Don’t underestimate this climb. Riders hit the bottom of the climb right in the middle of a >90 degree turn. They are immediately faced with the steepest part of the climb, and because of the nature of the corner, they start the climb with almost no momentum. This race is pre-registration only which closes at Midnight on Thursday so register early if you plan to participate. Event Flyer Event Website

The KC area is also hosting an On Bike Skills Camp. Riders will learn varies road skills throughout the day’s camp. Event Website Online Registration
