Pedals for Paws

This cycling event serves as a fundraiser for Stray Rescue. Trek Bicycle Store of STL is hosting this event in Ballwin, MO. This event will be fun for the whole family, including a raffle, silent auction, games, and contest. Food and drinks are also available.

Those looking for something a bit more risqué can participate in the World Naked Bike Ride. This event promotes cycling and positive body image and serves as a protest against oil dependency. The event includes live music, live art, body painting, bike decorating, a rally, bike valet by Mike’s Bikes, and vendors. Facebook

Those riders who enjoy a good book will not want to miss The Central West End Literary Bicycle Tour. This ride will start at Five Guys Burger and Fries parking lot on Lindell Blvd. in STL, MO. The 6-mile group ride will take riders through the central west end, where a large number of writers lived and worked during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

This ride includes visits to select writers’ former homes for short readings of their work and historical interpretation on a route through architecturally fascinating neighborhoods.
