Dirty Kanza 200 has become a very popular race over the past few years. Riders from all over the country show up to participate in this event.

For those who don’t know, Dirty Kanza 200 is for the hard-men and women of cycling who want to push themselves to complete a truly unique event. This is a 200 mile, self-supported, non-stop, solo endurance challenge. The route takes riders on gravel and dirt roads through the beautiful Flint Hills of east-central Kansas.

Registration for the 2013 event is coming up quick. Don’t miss it. This is a pre-registration only event so don’t miss out. Last year’s event filled up in under 3 hours. Those who plan on registering can do so online at www.bikereg.com.

Registration will begin promptly at 8:00am (Central Time) on the morning of Saturday, January 12th, 2013.  Field Limit will be set at 800 participants in the DK200 feature event.  That’s up from 450 slots in 2012.  Loads of prizes and swag.  And every Finisher receives the coveted DK200 Finishers’ Pint Glass.

In addition, we will be offering a new option in 2013.  Dubbed the “Dirty Kanza Half Pint”, this 100-mile option is intended for those of you who might be new to this whole Gravel Grinder scene.  If you are intrigued by the thought of mile and miles of Flint Hills gravel, but thinking you might not be ready to bite off the whole 200-mile enchilada, the DK Half-Pint might be for you.  Same fun… just fewer miles.  And every Finisher will receive a custom DK Half-Pint beer glass.  Field Limit for the DK Half-Pint will be set at 200 participants.

Make sure you mark your calendar for January 12th and set your alarm so you don’t miss out on this exciting event.
